Trevon Diggs of the Dallas Cowboys is coming off a career year in which he led the NFL in interceptions, was selected to the Pro Bowl, and was named to the first team of All-Pro. As a result, he probably doesn’t appreciate the recent video of him being burned by CeeDee Lamb going viral on social media.
In fact, it’s almost a given that Diggs detests when something goes viral for the wrong reasons.
The former star of the Alabama Crimson Tide was receiving such harsh online criticism that on Friday he actually deactivated his Twitter account (h/t The Liberty Line).
Even though it was exciting to watch the Cowboys’ offense light up training camp, it’s important to remember that these kinds of drills benefit the offensive skill players because other defensive players cannot assist them. For the cool heads on Twitter, if they do in fact exist, it’s not something to overreact to because it’s set up for the offense to win. Sadly, it appears that the Twitterverse went a little too far with this. And kudos to Diggs if it takes him deactivating his Twitter account to stay away from the negativity and maintain his mental health.
Diggs is a defensive back whо is knоwn fоr being risk-taking and aggressive, which is why оne play he might get burned fоr a big play and the next he might cоme up with a game-changing interceptiоn. Diggs will advance further if he can imprоve his cоnsistency as a cоrnerback and wоn’t have tо wоrry abоut gоing viral fоr a silly training camp videо.
