A multi-year arrangement has been agreed by the Indiana Pacers to recruit Toronto Raptors assistant Nate Bjorkgren as their head coach, ESPN sources say.
According to sources, Bjorkgren, a disciple of Nick Nurse, the reigning NBA Coach of the Year, sold the Pacers on his history of creativity, adaptability and winning in his tenure as an NBA assistant and G League head coach.
Bjorkgren worked with Nurse at two G League stops, earning a championship with him in Iowa in 2011. In 2013, Bjorkgren reached the G League Finals as head coach of Santa Cruz before arriving as an assistant with the Phoenix Suns in the NBA in 2015.
Bjorkgren, 45, reunited with Nurse in Toronto in July 2018 аnd wаs а pаrt of his stаff in the Rаptors’ chаmpionship seаson.
