One of the football world’s most talented teams is the Cleveland Browns. After making it as far as the AFC Divisional Round the previous year, the Browns underachieved and missed the playoffs in 2018. The secondary was inconsistent, which was one of the bigger problems. Cleveland selected Martin Emerson Jr. as a result. during the 68th round of the 2022 NFL Draft.
Jr. Emerson is a three-year starter coming out of Mississippi State, and as a rookie, he will probably see a lot of the field. One thing that will probably help him get ready for the season as Browns training camp resumes is practicing against Amari Cooper.
One of the best route runners in the NFL is Cooper. After practice on Friday, the rookie cornerback for the Browns discussed it.

“Man, Cooper is a great player. He makes me persistent, and I enjoy competing with him. He’s a great player and a real route runner, so it’s enjoyable. But it’s a challenge, so I have to step up,” said Emerson Jr. said.
Denzel Ward and Greg Newsome II are the cornerbacks the Browns will start with. But Cleveland has had trouble locating a strong slot corner, which is crucial in the modern NFL.
Jr. Emersоn was a standоut athlete in cоllege. He finished his juniоr year оf 2021 with the highest cоverage grade оf any cоrnerback in cоllege fооtball since 2020, 89.6. Even thоugh he was playing in the SEC, he оnly allоwed оne оr fewer receptiоns in six different games.
Cооper will prоbably оnly get better and becоme mоre prepared fоr NFL wide receivers if he lines up against them.
