Jeremy Sochan is officially turning pro after declaring for the 2022 NBA Draft in the middle of April. The Baylor Bears freshman was chosen by the San Antonio Spurs at No. 9 in total. He was ranked fourth among forwards and eleventh overall in the 2022 class.
In just one season in the NCAA at the age of 19, Sochan demonstrated his NBA potential. In 30 games, he averaged 9.2 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 1.8 assists, making him a valuable reserve for the Bears.
In the top 100 NBA Draft Prospect Rankings for 2022, Sochan is one of two Bears. Kendall Brown, a fellow freshman on his team, is ranked 25th in his class.
Despite having players of the caliber of those in the NBA this year, North Carolina defeated Baylor in the second round of the NCAA March Madness Tournament. In the postseason contest, Sochan excelled. In the defeat, he finished with 15 points, 11 rebounds, and three assists, leading the Bears in rebounding.
He now hаs the opportunity to immediаtely influence the Spurs. Additionаlly, he possesses key trаits of аn NBA prospect, аccording to CBS Sports.
