Pittsburgh confirmed Monday morning that Jacksonville reported that Jaguars did not waste any time to deal with the quarterback positions, and that Joshua Dobbs had acquired Steelers.
Jacksonville will send a fifth 2020 tour to Pittsburgh.
Jaguarians Nick Foles broke his left collarbone in his first match in Jacksonville on Sunday and is expected to undergo surgery on Monday morning.
Dobbs will compete to play with rookie Gardner Minshew, who looks sharp while relaxing Foles against the Chief. Minshew, a sixth round from Washington State this year, completed two touches and an intervention on 22 of 25 attempts at 275 yards.
Dobbs, who was a second-year player from Tennessee, had played five games last season and played half of his 12 games. Behind Ben Roethlisberger and Mason Rudolph, he became Steelers’ third-tier quarterback.
