According to an inquiry by the British Boxing Board of Control (BBBofC), English boxing judge Terry O’Connor did not look at a mobile phone when scoring a fight on October 17.
O’Connor was accused of staring at the phone as he sat ringside to score the controversial victory of Lewis Ritson over Miguel Vazquez at the East of England Showground Arena in England.
Eddie Hearn, promoter of the Matchroom, tweeted a photo of the incident and wrote: “If that’s a phone (and I think it is), then BBBofC can delete it immediately.”
