After 34-goal in the regular season for Los Angeles FC, Carlos Vela was named the leading player in major soccer in the League.
Vela has been Mexico‘s first player on Monday to receive the MLS award.
In a dominant second season with LAFC, Vela also had 15 assists. In early 2018, the former Real Sociedad forward joined the expansion MLS team as its first player.
For the MVP award, Vela beat LA Galaxy forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic. During his second MLS season, Ibrahimovic scored 31 goals.
