Erika Casher, a white woman who was videotaped laughing at a pupil when he spoke about his grandmother’s death from Covid-19, has been fired. During a Tennessee school board meeting discussing instituting a mask mandate, the incident occurred.
The discussion was planned after several Tennessee schools stated that they would be closing due to an increase in COVID-19 cases.
Covid-19 killed the boy’s grandmother, who was a teacher.
Grady Knox, a masked youngster from Rutherford County, speaks about why he believes masks should be worn in school by both students and instructors in a video that has gone popular on social media.
“If I earn COVID, I’m going to give it to my family,” the student added. “I chat to my grandparents a lot.” “They’re at a greater risk than I am. As a result, I’m not going to offer them COVID.”

“My grandma, who was a former teacher in the Rutherford County school system, died of COVID because someone wasn’t wearing a mask this time last year,” Knox is overheard saying.
At this point, a maskless woman dressed in a black dress smirked and shook her head at the statement from a chair behind him. “Let our kids smile,” the woman said, waving a placard.
“This is a preventable problem, and it is irresponsible to not use masks in classrooms. People are being killed by us. This is not something we should be doing for our students’ education “The bereaved adolescent continues.
Masks, according to Casher, should be a parental choice.
Many social media users identified the smirking lady as Erika Casher, a Cigna nurse, shortly after the video went viral.
The woman laughing and getting visibly angry about a kid telling his story at the board meeting is a nurse. She laughed when he talked about his grandmother dying from covid. I thought I saw it all until now.

these insane people most of all Erika Casher who should be fired from CIGNA, have no place laughing at a young man whose grandmother died of COVID. Shows how little regard they have for human life https://t.co/kIHKyPdHtw
