Jeanne Robertson, a motivational speaker, comedian, and former Miss North Carolina, died recently. Robertson died unexpectedly on Saturday, Aug. 21 at the age of 77, according to her professional Facebook profile. Robertson was believed to be suffering from “a dreadful sickness” in the days leading up to her death. Her team earlier declared that the illness she was suffering from was “not Covid related,” notwithstanding the lack of a cause of death.
Robertson had previously performed at Back Porch events as well as weekly Facebook Live Popups. In her most recent broadcasts, including her last Facebook Live video from her back porch in North Carolina on Aug. 7, she alluded to health issues. A number of Robertson’s scheduled appearances, including one in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, were canceled in the days following his final Facebook Live appearance. The cancellations were reported on Facebook by Robertson’s management, who said the events would be “rescheduled” because Robertson had been “challenged with a significant illness, unrelated to Covid, and will be unable to perform.”
