Gavin Newsom was criticized by Florida’s first lady Casey DeSantis for explaining why he attacked Ron DeSantis in a July 4th advertisement.
Ron DeSantis’ leadership of Florida was criticized in an advertisement that Newsom paid for to run over the Fourth of July weekend there. He claimed that Americans’ freedoms were being attacked and urged them to relocate from Florida to California.
He claimed they were being criticized for things like the ease of voting, the banning of certain books, and abortion.

In an interview with the Sacramento Bee over the weekend, Newsom explained his decision to run the advertisement.
In an interview with the Sacramento Bee on Friday, Newsom explained his motivations for running the advertisement, saying that “he did something that tipped me very directly, and that was going after the Special Olympics.”
That prompted the idea to create something slightly more expressive, which ultimately led to the decision for the advertisement, he said.
If the Special Olympics did not drop its COVID-19 vaccine requirement prior to the 2022 USA Games in Orlando in June, Florida state threatened to fine the organization $27.5 million.
Officials from the organization eventually complied, leading Ron DeSantis to declare it a victory for the athletes.
Casey DeSantis shared a videо tо her Twitter page оn Mоnday in a cоvert jab at Newsоm, shоwing an athlete’s excitement at a press cоnference after learning she will be able tо cоmpete.
Whоever needs a reminder, here it is… That is why we battle.
