Miles Teller and Shailene Woodley have a long history together, it can be said. The two have collaborated on four movies and have been close friends for almost ten years. Their characters have played a variety of roles in the movies, including lovers, enemies, reluctant allies, and more. But how do they actually interact with one another? The two have undoubtedly generated some rumors over the course of their friendship.
Before Teller met his wife, there were romantic rumors involving Miles Teller and Shailene Woodley.
Since 2019, Teller has been wed to Keleigh Sperry, his wife. The Top Gun: Maverick actor revealed that very early in their relationship, he knew the model was “the one.” However, a lot of fans were shipping Teller and Woodley before he and Sperry began dating. At one point, the pair was even romantically linked in the media.
Teller revealed that there were times when there was sexual tension between him and the former star of “The O.C.”
Teller has made it clear that he and Woodley never dated, in spite of the rumors. Some people still held out hope that they would get together because the actors in The Spectacular Now made a believable couple. When he spoke to The Hollywood Reporter about his friendship with the Endings, Beginnings actor, the I Bet You Think About Me actor probably made his relationship with Woodley even more ambiguous.

Regarding his friendship with Woodley, Teller said, “I would say we have like a sibling relationship, but with moments of sexual tension.” Whether or not Teller was making fun of the sexual tension, it appears that these friends do consider one another to be siblings. They enjoy working on projects together and share a reverence for acting. When Woodley got engaged to Aaron Rodgers, they even went on vacation together. They both support each other’s careers.
Teller and Woodley want to collaborate on more films in the future.
Working together undoubtedly seemed to strengthen the friendship between Teller and Woodley. They first appeared together in The Spectacular Now as high school sweethearts, and then they shared the screen in Divergent, Insurgent, and Allegiant. Originally, the two were going to work on another film together, but Ascendant, the concluding installment in the Divergent series, was shelved. Woodley has stated that she would still like to work with Teller on one film a year. One major project on her to-do list? an opera.
Shailene Woodley was extremely disappointed when Dakota Fanning won a role.
Off-screen, the two are supportive of one another as siblings.
A musical doesn’t seem too unlikely given that both stars have performed in recent works (Woodley in Endings, Beginnings and Teller in Top Gun Maverick). And although Woodley says she doesn’t mind people viewing them as a famous on-screen couple, their relationship currently leans more toward family and platonic, she adds. Woodley would like to have Teller’s unconditional support, citing Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet’s relationship after their Titanic performance. And based on her gushing praise for Teller in her most recent movie, it appears that the two will stick by one another for a very long time.
