Only Murders in the Building season 3 is in the works, despite the fact that season 2 is still available on Hulu. It was recently renewed, and we now know that the writers are already hard at work on the next chapter.
Showrunner John Hoffman revealed that the writers’ room has been open for a few weeks now, so everyone is looking forward to telling some more bizarre (and humorous) stories in a new interview with Deadline as part of a larger panel discussion. There is also a strong possibility of seeing some old friends again.

Hoffman made reference to two recurring cast members, Nathan Lane and Jane Lynch, who have already accomplished a great deal as Teddy Dimas, the antagonist, and Sazz Pataki, Charles’ stunt double:
I’m overjoyed to see Nathan and Jane here today because there’s something so magical about having people in our structure and our sphere of influence who sort of come and just elevate everything beyond and keep big swings very grounded the way artists like they can do like no one else. If anyone is available for Season 3, I don’t want to leave anyone behind.
Naturally, this alsо depends оn whether Teddy and Sazz make it thrоugh seasоn 2 and avоid being detained оn suspiciоn оf murder. Can anyоne really be ruled оut as a victim оr suspect? We genuinely adоre bоth оf these characters because оf hоw well they blend intо the оverall cast and what they have already cоntributed.
