Ferrari announced a new sports coupe designed to attract new buyers and contend with the Porsche 911, part of a 2022 product line-up redesign.
The new Ferrari Roma introduced Thursday is the fifth new car launched by this year’s luxury sportscar manufacturer and one of the fifteen to be launched under its five-year business plan.
For Ferrari, the Roma and the SF90 Stradale, the first plug-in hybrid of the carmaker’s history, represent new segments.
Commercial Director Enrico Galliera said the Roma was designed “for people who want to drive a sports car, or a Porsche, but are terrified of Ferrari and sports cars.” The Roma will be priced at more than € 200,000 ($220,000), and the first deliveries will be made by fall.
